Solid fundamentals for an innovative strategy

The story of Favex is one of family entrepreneurship. The HARMAND family has been involved in the bottled gas industry since the mid-1950s. FAVEX was created in the 1970s by Roger HARMAND and his son, Jacques.


From father to son

The company’s presence on the Gas market was boosted and solidified with the exclusive distribution of LPG regulators and valves of the Italian group CAVAGNA (No. 1 worldwide).

Today, Eric and Alexandre HARMAND head up the company, supported by the fourth generation, Alexis HARMAND, who manages FAVEX ASIA in Hong Kong.


Our first customers

Originally, Favex’s clientèle consisted of propane suppliers (Butagaz, Totalgaz, Primagaz, Antargaz and Vitogaz), plumbing wholesalers and heating engineers.


Favex has been the industry leader since the 2000s.

successful diversification

Family values and entrepreneurial spirit are visible in Favex’s DNA. Thus in 2003, its leaders decided to diversify into the different uses of bottled gas, using the know-how and experience gained in their market over 25 years.

Favex initially became the exclusive distributor, in France, of Fiesta brand barbecues (Canada), Enders heated patio umbrellas (German), and Mosquito Magnet mosquito repellent equipment (USA).

This strategy opened doors to the main retail chains such as Leroy Merlin, Castorama, Gamm Vert, Jardiland, and more.


Since then, Favex has developed its own ranges in the world of cooking, heating and gardening and has boosted its logistics service platform and after-sales service in Romorantin (41). Favex continues to grow with the acquisition of Brasero, a leading barbecue and plancha grill brand, which allows it to strengthen its presence in Asia and target new markets such as the United States.


In 2015, FAVEX sealed a deal with a plancha grill factory in Pau to offer a range of BRASERO plancha grills, manufactured in France.
